About CFC • 51st Anniversary • Instituted by President John F. Kennedy in order to coordinate fundraising efforts so the federal donor would only be solicited on an annual basis and offered the opportunity to give by payroll deduction. • In 2010, over $281.5 million was pledged to CFC worldwide by federal employees.
