Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also
Matthew 6:19-24
19 ‘Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where
moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and
steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves
do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there
your heart will be also.
24 ‘No
one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one
and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and
despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.
Matthew 13:44-46
44 ‘The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field.
When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went
and sold all he had and bought that field.
45 ‘Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for
fine pearls. 46 When he found one of great value, he went
away and sold everything he had and bought it.
1 Peter 2:4-7
4 As you come to him, the living Stone – rejected by humans but chosen
by God and precious to him – 5 you also, like living stones, are being built
into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices
acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6 For in Scripture it says:
‘See, I lay a stone in Zion,
a chosen and precious cornerstone,
and the one who trusts in him
will never be put to shame.’
7 Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do
not believe,
‘The stone the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone,’

Hebrews 2:5-12
5 It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we
are speaking. 6 But there is a place where someone has testified:
‘What is mankind that you are mindful of them,
a son of man that you care for him?
7 You made them a little lower than the angels;
you crowned them with glory and honour
8 and put everything under their feet.’
In putting everything under them, God left nothing that is not subject to
them. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them. 9 But we do
see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now
crowned with glory and honour because he suffered death, so that by the
grace of God he might taste death for everyone.
10 In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for
whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of
their salvation perfect through what he suffered. 11 Both the one who makes
people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is
not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. 12 He says,
‘I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters;
in the assembly I will sing your praises.’

2 Timothy 2:20-22
20 In a large house there are articles not only of gold and
silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special
purposes and some for common use. 21 Those who cleanse
themselves from the latter will be instruments for special
purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to
do any good work.
