What is cold-Formed Section Steel?
•
Cold-formed section steel is made of cold or hot-rolled strip steels with
various of sizes and shapes.
•
It is characterized with light weight, high strength, structure more
reasonable and economical, wide variety, feature smooth surface and
accurate size
•
The steel can be applied to produce section products with uniform
thickness and complex cross-section shape which is difficult to be made
through the traditional hot-rolled process.
•
With the reasonable design, its inertia moment of section increases by 1.54 times, so that 38-50% of the material steel will be saved compared with
hot-rolled sections when it is used in architectural constructions.

OPEN SYSTEMS： As noted,
an open system (see Figure)
