Oasis
Noel and was first taught in a catholic
primary school called st. Bernard's.
In September 1978, he changed schools and
went to St. mark's secondary school.
He took guitar lessons at st. mark's school
because he likes playing the guitar.
His favourite subject at school was mainly
football. He supports Manchester City, he
followed his dads footsteps by supporting
Manchester City.
After school Noel did some odd jobs in
construction, and then joined a local
Manchester band called Inspiral Carpets to
be a roadie and a technician in 1988.
While going around the world with Inspiral
Carpets, he learnt that his brother Liam had
already made up a band of his own the
Rain. They eventually changed the name of
the band to Oasis

Oasis played their very first gig live
at boardwalk club Manchester in
august 1991.
•
After over a year of live gigs,
rehearsals and a recording of a
proper demo. The bands big break
came in May 1993 when they got
noticed by Creation Records owner
Alan McGee.

On an average day their schedule
could include rehearsing, song
writing/editing, recording, band
practice and travelling around the
world. This would mean they
would be busy most of the time.

They don’t go on tour anymore
because they recently split up due
to Liam having an argument with
Noel, Liam ended up breaking
Noel’s guitar.
• I like the band Oasis because
I think their music is good, I
like quite a few of their songs
e.g. Wonderwall. They were a
great band until they split up
in 2009. Hopefully one of the
brothers will carry on with
the band.

Noel Gallagher's role changed
as he allowed a greater level of
inputs from the other band
members.
•
Oasis went to top the UK charts
and was named 2005's best track
by Q magazine, they also got
nominated for the NME's "Best
Song of 2005.
