The Knowledge Sharing Portal is a web portal
designed to:
• Expand United Way’s reach
• Centralize membership and GCL information
• Create opportunities to leverage regional relationships with
companies
• Offer locally relevant and culturally appropriate examples of a
companies’ work in communities around the world

• Portal centralizes information gathering and sharing
• Basic Information about International Partners (Mission, Vision, etc)

• Data collected empowers International Network, IDAG & GCL
• Additional reporting available to UWW teams for regional and worldwide

• Developed a survey that was sent to United Ways that had used the portal
as well as United Ways identified as potential users by Regional Directors.
• Survey consisted of 22 questions (mix of open- and closed-ended).
• Provided valuable input on challenges and use

STEP 6 - Return to the Knowledge Sharing Portal as much as needed to learn about companies in
your region, to update your United Way’s/ Organization’s information or to see how other United
