The MHIMA Coding & Data Quality Committee CODING ROUNDTABLE FORUM: A Do-It-Yourself Tool Kit Available to MHIMA members and HIM Professionals Coding Roundtable Tool Kit • • Assist in planning a “Coding Roundtable Forum" at your regional meetings or specialized meeting. Coding roundtable forums provide opportunity for coders to learn, share, and discuss issues related to coding, data quality, and compliance. Coding Roundtable Tool Kit • • • Provides guidelines on how to implement a Regional Coding Roundtable. Provides topics and resources for research and discussion. Semi-annual updates will be posted on MHIMA’s website. GOALS of the Coding Roundtable Improve coding skills through education. Provide local networking opportunities for coders. Attract new members to the coding and HIM profession. Create an environment that facilitates mentoring. Share coding practices, challenges, and requirements to affect policy in the industry.
