Broad Areas of Accomplishments

Built and building common understanding of the national and local
history of racism: Wall of History, RC History document
•
Implemented set of definitions and concepts around systemic power
and race – focus on institutional racism . P1,P2,P3: power over POC,
power which preserves white privilege, power to socialize us to racial
expectations, internalized racial superiority/oppression, continuum
becoming ARMC institution
•
Implemented strategic plan through ARLT/Management workgroups
and updated 2010-2015 plan
•
Built support with Board of Commissioners
•
Implemented communication, analysis & organizing tools
throughout the organization: i.e., authentic dialogue, matrix power
analysis
