In addition to adherence to the UNCG Policy on Discriminatory Conduct, the
University aims to achieve within all areas of employment , a diverse faculty and
staff capable of providing for excellence in the education of its students and for the
enrichment of the total University community. In seeking to fill openings, every

Laws Governing Affirmative Action
Established in 1965, Executive Order 11246
requires non-construction contractors with 50 or
more employees and government contracts of
$50,000 to develop and implement a written
affirmative action program (AAP).

Statement of Commitment
The University of North Carolina at Greensboro is
committed to equality of employment opportunities and
does not discriminate against applicants or employees

gender, age, disability, veteran status, political affiliation,
or sexual orientation. Moreover, The University of North
Carolina at Greensboro is committed to recruiting and
advancing women and minorities at all levels in its staff

The minimum employment age is 18 years, except law
enforcement officers who must be at least 21 years of
age at the time of hiring. There is no maximum age for
