By : Faith Markland-Morell A Camel is a Herbivore because it only eats grass , leaves and trees because they all are apart of grass. It can go 5-7 days without food or water I think humans should not get involved with a Desert because they make roads through the Desert and the Desert animals could get ran over or the pollution that is coming from behind the car. Another way humans should not get involved with a Desert habitat is because military training through out the Desert could kill them because when they are training they can kill some plants and small animals. A way a human could hurt the Desert habitat is by overusing water so that could mean when they use all that water they are drinking it can kill the Bactrian Camel with making it not drink water. Another way a human could affect the Desert habitat is by rally car races and there will be a lot of dust. That is why I think humans should not get involved with a Desert habitat. The hump of a Camel is helpful because the dromedary can survive long periods without food or water because there humps hold a lot of fat changes to water to meet the Camels body needs. If you do not know what a dromedary is it is a is a large, even-toed ungulate with one hump on its back. It was first described by Carl Linnaeus in 1758. The dromedary camel is the second largest member of the camel family after the larger Bactrian camel. A camel has large eyes on the sides of its head. Each eye is protected by long, curly eyelashes that keep out sand in the daytime, when the sun is high, the eyes do not allow excessive light in. Glands supply the eyes with a great deal of water to keep them moist. Thick eyebrows shield the eyes from the desert sun. 5 Unusual Facts About A Camel The Sahara Desert Hope you liked my presentation.
