 Do you want to learn about roadrunners and

Roadrunners

Roadrunners live in the
desert. They make their
nests out of snake skin,
sticks and leaves.
Roadrunners build their
nests on shrubs or
cactus. A female
roadrunner lays 5-8 eggs
at a time!
What does the
roadrunner
look like?
The roadrunner has a
dark, shaggy, head crest
with tiny white spots,
black eyes, a bare blue
patch behind its eyes, a
long dark brown bill, a
tan belly, X shaped feet,
long brown legs, brown
and cream feathers and
short rounded wings.

. Roadrunners eat scorpions,
lizards and small snakes. A
roadrunner’s eyes are
sometimes bigger than its
stomach. A roadrunner can
run up to 15 miles per hour.

called peahens.

peahen lays is 5-8 eggs.
The color of the eggs are
light blue or light brown.
The peafowl take turns
with the eggs while one
looks for food
