ADVERTORIALS
CREATING SUCCESSFUL CAMPAIGNS IN
NON-TRADITIONAL ADVERTISING SPACE
WHAT IS AN
ADVERTORIAL?
Advertorials are a form of advertising that mimic editorial content but are
sponsored by, or even written by a local business.
Advertorials are marked as advertisements but otherwise do not differ in
tone or quality from the other content on the site.

WHEN DOES AN
ADVERTORIAL WORK?
Before selling an advertorial, please ask yourself the following questions:
•Is this content I would put on this site, even if it were not sold?
•Is the content interesting, relevant, rich, innovative, informative, fun?
•Does the advertorial showcase the client and the product/service
naturally?
