Ted Bundy was born Theodore Robert Cowell to Louise Cowell on November 24, 1946, at the Elizabeth Lund Home for Unwed Mothers in Burlington, Vermont. His antisocial personality and psychotic character made him feared across the country. He killed 36 young women and spanned through four states. Process- Focused & Lust Killer - He chose women with a long dark parted down the middle, faking an injury or disability, or impersonating an authority figure, before overpowering and assaulting them at a more secluded location. - Ted thought his grandparents were his parents and his mother was his sister. In 1946 an illegitimate child was extremely looked down upon by society. Well behaved and grew into an attractive teen who was generally liked and who performed well in school. Suffered from acute shyness that resulted in his appearing socially awkward Met the woman of his dreams. She was pretty, wealthy, and sophisticated. They both shared a skill and passion for skiing and spent many weekends on the ski slopes. Suffered extreme depression over the break up and dropped out of school. It was during this time that he learned the truth that his sister was his mother and his parents were his grandparents. Although this list is not entirely inclusive, it does give one an idea of Bundy's particular signature behaviors. Some victims escaped and said he never seemed out of control until the moment he actually attacked them. Bundy always carried out the murders and he also kept body parts to preserve the enjoyment he got from the killings. Bundy went through depression phase because he was not able to quit. He began to kill as soon as he got to Florida.
