Sir Laugh-a-lots Fights the Sea Dragon By Mikayla Brown and Sarah Hedgecock One day, Sir Laugh-a-lots heard about the ancient Water Dragon. He decided that he could defeat the monster and steal all of his treasures that lye in his underwater cavern. He set off for Bubble Valley to take an adventure of a lifetime. As he was walking, he took a break near a river. He knelt down to take a drink and saw something moving in the water. He soon realized it was his friend Grubby the Water Strider. “Hey, Grubby!” “Sup dude!” “How are you floating on the water?” Sir Laugh-a-lots asked. “Surface Tension, man.” Grubby responded lazily. “What’s that?” “You haven’t heard of it? I wrote a poem. You should listen to it dude!” Grubby said clearing his throat. “Let’s hear this poem!” said Sir Laugh-a-lots Surface tension is cool It lets me float on this pool Daughter This is a property of water I skate here with my daughter It’s covered by a thin, elastic layer I own this pool cause I am the mayor Sir Laughs-a-lot stood in shock, he had never heard that poem before. As Grubby did his finale the dinosaur told him that he should be on his way to the Water Dragon. “But wait!” said Grubby, “You need to be careful.” “Why?”
