No Need to Take the Midnight Train to Georgia: Learn
How to Manage your Testing Center’s Usage Data
Managing Testing Data
Testing centers of today have grown exponentially over the last few years. At Anne
Arundel Community College alone, with this growth our data collection needs have
also grown. No longer do our needs require us to know just how many students our
testing center has served, but in addition we have many new requirements.
Times for student visits
Services used by students
Instructions for test administration
Queries and reports on center usage
Collecting the Data
In 2001 Anne Arundel Community College began work to create a solution for it’s
Testing Center’s data collection needs. Then in 2004 we started offering our
software to other institutions. Our software is simply called TSiS - Testing Sign-In
System.
How Does TSiS Work
Upon arrival, a student
will select the type of
testing needed.
The student will now sign-in.
Next, the proctor will retrieve the student
information, and then enter all testing
information.
At the completion of the student’s exam,
the proctor will log the student out.
