Timothy the Fidgety By Hope Gerhart Timothy the Fidgety, he’s such a special friend of mine. We always run and laugh and play with our friend Caroline. Hey Tim! Hey Caroline! He always likes to take a risk and play a fun new game. He never seems to stop, I think that’s how he got his name. But Timothy had his problems just like anybody would. Dr. said he couldn’t concentrate, or at least not very good. This really showed at school when he’d SO rather be playing. Distracted by this thought, he nearly missed our teacher saying… “I’ve learned something new, and I think that we should try it. It will help us all with learning. Now please sit still and quiet.” He passed out a RUBRIC and explained it was a sheet, that told us how to do our work and get 100% complete. Learning to use a journal or a planner if you will, certainly gave Timothy quite the learning thrill. Timothy WAKE UP! Catch the Bus! School Today Then he gave us sticky notes and told some new terms. Then showed us how to use them both to very quickly learn. Then he explained Art Therapy and said we all would get to try. We colored in these special drawings, oh how time flew by. As our lesson ended and all the coloring was through, our teacher said “Put crayons up! I have questions for you.” Crayons up! Timothy sat ahead of me just like he always has. But for once he wasn’t fidgeting he was enjoying class. We began to take the quiz, and for the first time in our history, Timothy was confident he had the answers to the mysteries. The teacher was so proud that he took out his phone and Visa. And that’s how Timothy the Fidgety became known as Mr. Pizza! Way to go Tim! Thanks for reading! Goodbye friend! Hope to see you again!
