Proposed Location
The production location is near the central wholesale warehouses of Bosnia
and near the
city center of Sarajevo which is the largest internal market. However, the
location of the
production is not very important except for the small group of companies from
Sarajevo
that are interested in outsourcing their slaughtering to GIN.
These channels are having high demands for meat products since
the demand is still
higher then the supply. Although a big part of this gap is being
covered by imported
goods, there is a growing demand for locally produced goods. The
distribution channels
that are important are for example Interex, Velpro / Konsum,
Mercator, Drvopromet,
Bingo, Merkur, Mims and many others, who all together have

Basic information:

The fact that GIN is a new company offers unique opportunities to
anticipate
these regulations already in the very design of the factory.

GIN is located at the highway going to the North and the South
which is the main channel to export markets
The annex 1 ‘floor plan’ shows the details of the 4 different
floors. With a total of more
then 5000 m2 GIN will be one of the bigger facilities in the
Western Balkans. The building
is built with the highest requirements of insulation material and is
designed by a meat
processing professional for create the highest efficiency of
processing.

Health, workplace, or environmental regulations Regulations in BosniaHerzegovina on health, workplace or environment are mostly stil lbeing
developed. However, GIN will follow the standards of the EU and/or US for
the production facility. This will enable GIN to be eligible for export to the EU
as soon as BiH meets the relevant requirements.

There are two major supply strategies: one is through a newly to be established
cattle breeding company that will have a 100% exclusive supply agreement
with GIN and the other is through different sources of import.
