I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. Steward Promises – John 4 36 Even now the one who reaps draws a wage and harvests a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together. 37 Thus the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’ is true. 38 I sent you to reap what you have not worked for. Others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labor.” Steward Promises – Matthew 25:14-21 The Parable of the Bags of Gold 14 “Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them…… 19 “After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. 20 The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’ 21 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. All of me in Response to All of God Ministry to Children and Youth Stewardship for Youth and Children Matthew 18: 1-5 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” 2 He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. 3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me. Stewardship for Youth and Children John 6: 5 When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, he said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?” 6 He asked this only to test him, for he already had in mind what he was going to do. 7 Philip answered him, “It would take more than half a year’s wages to buy enough bread for each one to have a bite!” 8 Another of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, spoke up, 9 “Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?” Stewardship for Youth and Children • Children can teach us about letting Jesus be Savior and Lord • Include children and youth in services • Let children and share their stories about trusting God (testimonies) • Be sure children and youth are given commitment cards - and then follow them up Stewardship for Youth and Children • Plan to have children and youth on your leadership teams • Remember your church school teachers are part of the church ministry team • Include children in church dedication or spiritual renal appeals and ministry sacrificial offerings • Have children’s department leaders, pathfinder leaders, etc on your local church blessings team Church Business Meetings that are planned for Youth • Advertisement • Refreshments • Children and youth questions and answer time • Stewards at 6 years old will build stewards at 16, 26 and 86 All of me in Response to All of God Blessing Teams Discussion Financial Stewardship • Weekly Prayer Sessions • Financial Reports for Each Family • Stewardship Summit • Church Family Business Meetings • Local Chr Youth Advisory • Thank You Letter to Members • Monthly Bulletin Insert • Stewpot Subscription • Quarterly Offering Readings (adapted from NAD) • Quarterly Stewardship Poster • Quarterly Stewardship Video • Weekly Offering PowerPoint + Script • Sunset & Offering Calendar Bookmark • Stewardship Sermons • Stewardship Bible Studies • Tithe & Offering Bible Studies • Planned Giving Bible Studies Financial Stewardship • Blessings of Stewardship Bible Studies • New Member Bible Studies • How to Budget Resources • Stewardship Brochure • Financial Peace University Classes • Faith & Finance Classes • Web Content • Social Media Updates • Quarterly/Annual Letter to church board members • Stewardship Sabbaths • Pathfinder/Adventurer Honor • E-newsletter for members • Department Integration • Stories/Reports in Church Publications • New Member Stewardship Packet • Offering Call Education • Over & Over Again Stories • Banners • Bookmarks All of Me in Response to All of Him Blessing Teams Discussion Your Churches Stewardship Temperature 1.
