“Everyone is looking for you.” 38 And he said to them, “Let us go
on to the next towns, that I may preach there also, for that is why
I came out.” 39 And he went throughout all Galilee, preaching in
their synagogues and casting out demons.

Kingdom Perspective
Power of Prayer
“History records no significant movement of the Spirit of God
that has not been preceded by a very strong prayer emphasis. . .
Our Savior Himself, to whom all authority in heaven and earth
was given, spent much time praying while here on earth. Now
seated at the right hand of God the Father, He intercedes on our
behalf. . . . A vast reservoir of power, wisdom and grace
becomes available to us through prayer.”

Power of Prayer
Matthew 21:22 (ESV) And whatever you ask in prayer, you will
receive, if you have faith.”
John 15:7 (ESV) If you abide in me, and my words abide in you,
ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
James 5:16 (NLT) . . . The earnest prayer of a righteous person
has great power and wonderful results.
Praying with Confidence
1) Abide
“4 Keys”
Abiding is the key to successful praying.
John 15:7 “If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, ask whatever you will and it
shall be done for you.”
2) Ask
Matthew 7:7, 8 “Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek and you shall find; knock, and it
shall be opened to you. For every one who asks receives; and he who seeks finds; and to
him who knocks it shall be opened.”
3) Believe
Matthew 21:22 “Everything you ask in prayer, believing you shall receive.”
4) Receive
If you are abiding in Christ, and if you have asked…believing, get
ready to receive the answer.
John 16:24 “Ask and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.”
Can you and I pray this simple prayer…”Lord, set me on fire!”
• What makes this experience of God possible is God’s passion
to make Himself known to us.
• God is even more eager to make Himself known than we are
to know Him.
