The Saudi National Committee of the IEC
• Established in 1998
• The Saudi National Committee represent the membership
of Saudi Arabia in International Electrotechnical
Commission - IEC (as a Full Member)
• The Saudi National Committee is fully representative of
national interests in the fields of activity of the IEC
The Saudi National Committee undertake
• to promote the object of the IEC
• to support the IEC work, and
• to implement, in a transparent way, to the maximum
extent possible, the Commission's International Standards,
in the national and regional standards
IEC General Meeting & TC meeting
• Every year, the IEC to hold a General Meeting hosted by one of its
member National Committees (IEC management meetings ) :
– The annual Council meeting
– Council Board (CB),
– Standardization Management Board (SMB),
– Conformity Assessment Board (CAB)
