Commercialization Academy
The Academy kicked off in late-July on the BigMarker education platform
24 students came to the Crucible in Rome on August 11th-15th
9 teams formed around 9 AFRL technologies
The Academy continues on/offline until mid-November
Students will compete for $50K in funds on November 15th
Output: business model & commercialization pathway
Great response from community & inventors – student teams have been
actively engaged since Crucible Week
Startup Strategy will provide GI/AFRL with process docs/lessons learned
Academy is on schedule/on budget; pulled dollars into Aug due to Crucible
Next steps: Team development and mentors, mentors, mentors!
