Provision of Maths and English data for Year 9 students – guiding
streaming in Year 10 Classes

Special Needs information circulated – ES, Welfare, YLC’s

Uptake of advanced Maths and English subjects – Literature and
Pre-Calculus Maths

Access to Interim and Semester Reports – available for all
students on S drive

AusVELS data similarly available

Introduction of Compass – record of student academic, welfare
and behavioural history *

General impression of Survey Data from Term 4 2014:

70% of students positive about the move

54% were anxious to some degree about changing campuses

Many students simply unsure about what to expect across a range
of surveyed questions

Many respondents comment on being excited and nervous

Most positive about making friends and meeting new teachers

Most believed they would have to work harder

Most believed they would feel safe

General impression of Survey Data from Term 4 2014:

69% believing older students and 91% believe teachers made them
feel comfortable at McBride

81% of student agreeing they felt safe at McBride

Roughly an even split on workloads and teachers expectations

Majority agreed they were treated more like adults at McBride

80% agreed the subject selection process was well explained and
understood

87% of students agreed Headstart gave students an impression of
what life would be like at McBride

83% of students were able to find their way about in a matter of days
