The volume of the construction is quiet and has a strict expression that
works as a contrast to the soft curves in the open coastal landscape.
The building was planned to function like a windscreen around an
indoor atrium. The rooms open up towards a screened outdoor area
and this in turn communicates with the sea and the view.
The constructive parts have been executed in laminated wood,
dressed with cover boarding of untreated pine. The wood will turn grey
over time and be more in harmony with the surroundings regarding
colour.

Bygningsvolumet er lavmælt og har et strengt uttrykk som kontrasterer
de myke kurvene i det åpne kystlandskapet. Bebyggelsen er organisert
som en ”vindskjerm” rundt et utendørs atrium. Rommene åpner seg
inn mot den skjermede uteplassen, og uteplassen henvender seg
mot havet og utsikten.
De konstruktive delene er utført i limtre, kledd med låvepanel
i ubehandlet furu. Over tid vil treverket gråne og fargemessig
harmonere med omgivelsene.
