AHP Practice Educator Training Wednesday 22nd January 2014 9am – 4.30pm Glasgow Caledonian University Glasgow Caledonian University and Strathclyde University, along with NHS GG&C and NHS Education for Scotland, are delighted to invite AHPs to this event. This training event delivered by GCU & SU is both for AHPs who have never supervised a student before and experienced AHPs who feel that they need refresher training. At the end of this training event you will be able to: o Appraise the role and attributes of the practice educator and student, within a multidisciplinary environment; o Evaluate theories, appropriate to adult and professional learners; o Plan, implement and facilitate learning within the practice setting; o Apply sound principles and judgment in the assessment of student performance; o Evaluate and reflect upon the learning experience. New AHP Practice Educators o AHPs considering or in the process of becoming practice educators • All day session: 9am-4.30pm Experienced Practice Educators looking for Refresher Training o AHPs who have previously supervised a student but wish to refresh their knowledge • Morning session only: 9am-1pm Experienced Practice Educators new to taking GCU/ SU students o AHPs who have previously attended practice educator training from QMU or RGU • Afternoon session only: 1.30-4.30pm (this session goes through GCU/ SU documentation) Save the date now!
