PSAT Results: First considerations
• Who sees these scores?
• A test of college readiness or test aptitude?
• Strong predictor of future SAT score without intervention.
• Test scores are a factor in admissions but not the primary factor
• ACT or SAT?
• Any college will take EITHER score
• Projected ACT? (Add 1-4 points on your PLAN score)
• 1st test should be in no later than April of junior year
• Can take multiple times; colleges take best score
• Not usually required at 2-year schools or at time of transfer
