Jorge Paulo Lemann Cardiovascular Research Postdoctoral Fellowship Eligibility requirements: ❤The candidate him or herself must demonstrate a commitment to research, presented in a brief written statement of career goals. Jorge Paulo Lemann Cardiovascular Research Postdoctoral Fellowship Eligibility criteria: 1) Applicants must meet these requirements to be eligible for this Fellowship: a. Physicians (MD) having undertaken a residency in internal medicine or cardiology. b. Scientists with a PhD in cardiovascular or allied research. 2) Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated involvement and commitment to cardiovascular research. Early career researchers will be given priority. 3) Candidates who have already performed a research fellowship in the United States are not eligible to compete for the award. Jorge Paulo Lemann Cardiovascular Research Postdoctoral Fellowship Documents needed for application 1) Curriculum vitæ of the candidate. 2) Letter from a Brazilian institution with a research infrastructure indicating commitment to the candidate's career, describing the steps that will be taken to support their research, such as providing financial resources and facilities for research, and protecting time for the candidate to perform research upon return to Brazil. 3) A personal statement by the candidate describing their interest in cardiovascular research and how the Lemann Fellowship would help in his or her career. 4) Three letters of reference. Jorge Paulo Lemann Cardiovascular Research Postdoctoral Fellowship Selection Process: The selection will be conducted by a Committee of faculty members of Brigham and Women's Hospital, Cardiovascular Division chaired by Prof. Peter Libby. The Fellowship will be managed and administered by the Cardiovascular Division at Brigham and Women's Hospital in coordination with Harvard Medical School. The Fellows will be provided with a benefit package from Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
