My name is Tao Xiong and I am a senior undergraduate student majoring in
Microelectronics in the School of Electronics Engineering and Computer
Science, Peking University. I am writing to you to seek opportunities of
working with you for my graduate education and I have submitted my
application to Northwestern University.
My research interest focuses on utilizing Micro/Nano fabrication technology
to design and manufacture device or system to seek solutions for novel
applications, and I am indeed very interested in your research. My previous
research focused on the optoelectronic device for retina prosthesis and I
have submitted a paper based on this project, which has been published
on Applied Physics Letters.
You can check my CV in the attachment, in which contains my detailed
research experience and background. Besides, I wonder whether you are
planning to recruit new PhD students in your group and I have an
opportunity to participate in the project of your lab.
