With four HL classes, 16 of the 24 points
must be from HL classes.
Details that you don’t need to
know but your kids do!
Some IB Sciences are one year courses in 11th and 12th
grade (Biology SL, Chemistry SL, Chemistry HL) and some
are two year commitments (Biology HL, Physics SL).
You may only take two SL tests junior year.
HL tests can only be taken senior year.
If you take both the SL and the HL test in a course and are a
full Diploma student, only the HL course may be used as one
of the six Diploma courses.
