3Tre and Trentino Winter events presented in style in Milan The 61st 3Tre lived today, Tuesday November 18th, another important moment of promoton and communication in the set up to the Audi FIS World Cup Night Slalom of December 22nd, taking part to the press conference dedicated to the major Winter Sports event in the Trentino area, organized by Trentino Marketing at the Four Season Hotel, in Milan. Representing 3Tre on the day were Funivie Campiglio Director Francesco Bosco and the last Italian winner on the Canalone Miramonti (2005), former slalom specialist and 2005 FIS Slalom World Cup winner Giorgio Rocca. Province of Trento’s Tourism Assessor Michele Dallapiccola introduced the topic of Winter activities in Trentino, stressing the strong and steady push for innovation and improvement of winter facilities and opportunities, that combines with the area’s strong sports attitude and tradition, lays ideal ground for major sports event to take place in Trentino on a yearly basis. In particular, Dallapiccola recalled the very significant work to realize a new artificial lake in the Montagnoli area to become the biggest basin for artificial snowing in Italy, and that is set to guarantee snow covering over the whole Madonna di Campiglio ski area. As a consequence, some slopes in the Grostè area will be already open on the upcoming weekend, starting Saturday November 22nd. “3Tre Madonna di Campiglio is a match between the tradition of the oldest Italian alpine ski classic and its consistent capacity to innovate and renovate itself”, Dallapiccola stated. After the speech by Italian Winter Sports Federation’s Vice-President Alberto Beretta, who stressed the importance of the full commitment from Organizing Committees and locations to preserve the key asset represented by the major winter sports events in Italy, starting with Alpine Skiing World Cup races, the testimonials from the six attending events (3Tre, Alpine Rock Fest, European Cup in Pozza di Fassa, Tour de Ski in Val di Fiemme, Ciaspolada and Snowboard World Cup on Costalunga pass) took the floor.
