CORTINA
Cortina d'Ampezzo is a town in the southern Dolomitic Alpes and the province of Belluno, Veneto, northern Italy. Located in the
heart of the Dolomites in an alpine valley, it is a popular winter sport resort known for its ski-ranges, scenery,
accommodations, shops and aprés-ski scene. After the scheduled 1944 Olympics had been canceled because of WWII, it
hosted the 1956 Winter Olympics as well as various world cup events and motion pictures.
The village has nearly 7,000 inhabitants and it is located at 1224m. a.s.l. Some of the surrounding peaks are higher than
3000m: Tofàna 3243m, Cristallo 3218m, Sorapìs 3205m.
Geographically it is included in the Belluno province and it is 72 km. from the town of Belluno. It is located between Veneto
and Trentino Alto Adige regions, the border between the two regions is at Cimabanche Pass (1530m.) 13 km. from Cortina.
The village is 162 km from Venice, which is the closer airport, 260km from Verona and 432 km from Milan.

MADONNA DI CAMPIGLIO
Madonna di Campiglio, a discreet and eleganttown nestling at an altitude of 1550 metres in the stupendous valley between the Brenta Dolomites and the glacier of Adamello
and Presanella, is today the most certainly Italy's number one ski resort as well as one of the most important resort in the Alps.
The variety od its mountain surroundings means that in winter it is possible to ski over countless kilometres of runs, up to an altitude of 2600 metres and with different
degrees of difficulty. What's more, you can set out from the centre of the town and return there without ever removing your skis. Today the ski area can boast 57 lifts
and 150 km of ski runs, with a capacity of more than 31,000 people per hour, 50,000 sq m of snow park, 40 km for nordic skiing and there are plans to link up to the
pistes in Pinzolo
The fifty thousand hectares if the Adamello-Brenta Natural Park, together with four hundred and fifty km of mountains paths offer incredible opportunities for those who
want to walk or mountain bike through the cool fir woods and enchanting larch forests.
The village is 177 km from Verona, which is the closest airport, 293km from Venezia and 305 km from Milan.

BARDONECCHIA
Bardonecchia, is a mountain resort in the heart of the upper part of Val di Susa (just 90 Km from Turin with its international railway station and the line from Turin to
Modane). It is easy to reach and is a resort which combines the charm of a small mountain village with the modern face of a city.
Bardonecchia has been a well-known summer and winter resort since the beginning of the 20th century and over the years it has grown to become one of the most popular
tourist resorts in the whole of the Alpine region.
In 2006 it hosted the Snowboard competitions of the Winter Olympics. In the winter Bardonecchia is a real paradise for skiers and snowboarders and in the summer it is a
lively tourist resort for holidaymakers looking for sporting activity, biking, history, culture and most of all nature.
The resort is geared up for tourists of all types with local restaurants, wine bars, pubs, pizzeria, discos, bars, a cinema and numerous sporting activities. There are also
amusement arcades, music events, theatre and many other cultural and sporting events.

SPORTS & ACTIVITIES IN BARDONECCHIA
Bardonecchia has several different skiing areas which all have something different to offer the skier.
The first area is known as the Colomion it is connected to two further skiing areas known as Les Arnauds and Melezet: here there’s a wealth of wide runs that spin out
through the woods. The starting point is from Campo Smith (1300 m) in the heart of the resort and the lifts take you up to the highest point of 2400 metres where you
ski above the woods.
Just 5 minutes from the centre there is the other main skiing area Lo Jafferau. There is a free ski bus that runs from the resort to Lo Jafferau where the skiing is mainly on
open runs with amazing views over the surrounding mountains. Here the highest point is 2800 metres and in spring there are endless possibilities for off-piste skiing.
