Pontefract (34/35 / QP/PP: 34) Maandag 20 April 2015
1e Koers 15:10uur - 1005 m
4e Koers 16:50uur - 4335 m
Wedmarkt: 2/1 Tawakkol, 3/1 Black Magic, 100/30 Four's Company,
4/1 Racing Venture, 10/1 Calpurnia
Wedmarkt: 4/1 Riptide, 9/2 Suprise Vendor, 9/2 Chevalgris, 5/1 Madam
Lilibet, 13/2 Point The Toes, 15/2 Tuscan Gold, 10/1 Salford Dream,
14/1 Stickleback
Racingpost: Tawakkol showed enough promise despite running green
on his debut to think he would be a major player with the run behind him
and he is the obvious starting point here. That said, Richard Fahey's
2yos have started off well too and BLACK MAGIC has plenty to
recommend him on pedigree. He might be worth siding with this
time.[Paul Smith]
Racingpost: Tuscan Gold might prove best of the quintet that ran in the
2m2f handicap here a fortnight ago, if only because he won't mind the
quicker ground as much as some and is much respected despite his
long losing run. That said, Irish raider POINT THE TOES (nap)
represents different formlines, ran nicely over hurdles last week and can
justify the trip over from Co Kildare.[Paul Smith]

Ruby Royale, 20/1 Storytale, 22/1 Rockmount, 66/1 Geology
Racingpost: Wistar is the unexposed one, falling into the 'could be
anything' category, and he has to be seriously respected off a
manageable opening mark. A few of the yard's horses have been
needing their reappearances though and Dubai Hills and EXPRESS
HIMSELF also make some appeal. The former is clearly well treated if
turning up in the same form as last week but the selection won twice
last year, is still lightly raced and the booking of Paul Hanagan suggests
he will be ready to do himself justice.[Paul Smith]

Lexington Abbey, 7/1 Yeeoow, 7/1 Free Code, 8/1 Out Do, 9/1 Mass
Rally, 10/1 Go Far, 11/1 No Leaf Clover, 20/1 Barkston Ash
Racingpost: A good sprint in which Lexington Abbey is sure to be
popular after his eye-catching effort at Doncaster on his return. He is
respected, but the trio to make most appeal are fellow 4yos Supplicant,
No Leaf Clover and FREE CODE. Supplicant and No Leaf Clover are
well treated on their juvenile exploits but Free Code is preferred with the
drop to sprinting likely to suit and his new yard sure to get the best out
of him at some stage. He should get a decent tow into this and can
make an immediate return on the 50,000gns he cost in October.[Paul
Smith]
Postdata: Yeeoow
Spotlight: Free Code
Racingpost: BEARDWOOD ran a promising race on his sole 2yo start
and with plenty of improvement expected this year, he can take this en
route to better things. Dawn's Early Light and Tadarrok might provide
the stiffest opposition, although much better is expected of Geology at
some stage.[Paul Smith]

Five, 100/1 Beauty's Forte
Racingpost: DREAM ALLY is running well for his new yard and is
respected off a fair mark back on turf in first-time blinkers. Margrets Gift
could find more progress at 5f in headgear this season and may be the
biggest danger, along with Sleeping Apache, who was running well in
the autumn and represents a trainer whose horses have been in good
form of late.[David Moon]
