HS Kraft AB and BayWa r.e. have acquired project rights
for a new wind power farm in Sweden
HS Kraft AB has together with BayWa r.e. entered in an agreement with
Odalholmen AB regarding an acquisition of the project rights to establish up
to six wind turbines near Härnösand.
HS Kraft AB, an active social developer in the Nordic region through wind power, and
BayWa r.e. have acquired the project rights to establish up to six wind turbines at Stormon
in Härnösand municipality. Investment decisions have been taken and the wind power
farm is expected to be commissioned end of 2015.
By the acquisition of the majority of the Swedish consulting services company HS Kraft AB in May
2014, BayWa r.e. entered the Nordic market for renewable energy. By the acquisition of the special
project vehicle Stormon Energi AB with related project rights HS Kraft and BayWa have now jointly
taken the first step towards realizing the intentions of developing the wind power in the Nordics.
- We are very optimistic to the acquisition of Stormon Energi AB with related project rights and have
already made investment decisions to erect the wind farm. We expect to, in the first phase, erect five wind
turbines with commissioning by the end of 2015, says Håkan Wallin, CEO at HS Kraft AB.
The five wind turbines are estimated to annually produce about 50 GWh, equivalent to an annual
consumption of electrical energy for approximately 10 000 normal households.
- Together with BayWa we have found a very good match and jointly we have a great potential for active
social development that creates value by wind in the Nordic region, continues Håkan Wallin.
