Strange Gravity Phenomenon on many Gravity Hills
• Vehicles in neutral transmission gear and brake released simply roll uphill on their own.
• People pours water on the paved road surface of the gravity hill and water just flows uphill.
• People put water bottle or basket ball on the paved road surface of the gravity hill and water bottle or basket ball just rolls uphill

Popular Illusion Theory for Gravity Hills
Asserts That:
• Gravity at gravity hills is normal
• Strange gravity hill phenomenon is due to illusion in human perception
• The human perceived bottom of gravity hill slope is “higher” than human perceived top of the slope
Results from carpenter’s level test and from land survey measurements on gravity hills support Illusion Theory.

But I Do Not Believe in Illusion Theory
Because of Six Sets of Evidences against
Illusion Theory in Following Charts
Dark Energy & Matter

From the waiting area, we can see the far end, but we cannot see the bottom in the middle of this section of road
Gravity Hills
13
If the bottom in the middle of this section of road were higher than the top as asserted by Illusion Theory, we should be able to see the “higher” bottom from the waiting area on the top
But we cannot see the bottom in previous picture. This puts a serious doubt on the
Illusion Theory.
Gravity Hills

15
If the bottom were “higher” than the top as claimed by Illusion Theory, then, we should be able to see the waiting area and the line of waiting vehicles on the top from the “higher” bottom
But we cannot see the waiting area and the line of waiting vehicles on the top from the bottom.
This again puts a serious doubt on the validity of Illusion Theory
Gravity Hills
16
Views from both the top and the bottom consistently indicate that:
The bottom of the slope in the middle of this section of road is lower than the top of the slope, and is lower than the far end of this section of road.
This first evidence puts serious doubt on validity of Illusion Theory.

Human Perception
On Coastal Gravity Hills
• People can see reference horizontal line in nearby ocean
• Human perception of the top and the bottom on the slope of this coastal gravity hill should be correct because of the visibility of nearby ocean horizontal line as a reference.

Detected Abnormal Gravity at
Some Mystery Spots
• Significant abnormal gravity has been detected at some mystery spots by (1) strange behavior of land survey instrument, (2) measured significant gravitational time dilation, (3) asymmetric pendulum and (4) measured gravity strength differs significantly (10 %) from that of normal gravity on earth surface

Illusion Theory on Coastal Gravity Hills
• But carpenter level and land survey measurements on coastal gravity hills still indicate that human perceived bottom is higher than human perceived top, supporting Illusion Theory
• Illusion Theory, carpenter level tests and results of land survey measurements are wrong because of influence of abnormal gravity on liquid bubble and plumb line used in such measurements on gravity hills as explained in the following 3 charts.

Carpenter’s Level and Land Survey Measurements
Yield Wrong Results on Gravity Hills
• The horizontal plane as indicated by plumb line and liquid bubble is tilted due to abnormal gravity
• The top of gravity hill becomes below the tilted horizontal plane
(dashed red line)
• The top becomes lower than the bottom according to such measurements.
• The uphill slope becomes downhill slope according to the tilted horizontal plane (dashed red line)
• None of such “blind” measurements checked to see if the gravity on such gravity hill is normal or not.
• Illusion Theory is supported by such blind measurements yielding wrong results

There are more than one known
Coastal Gravity Hill
• Electric Brae on coastal road A719 in Ayrshire in Scotland
• Magnetic Hill on coastal road A27 on Isle of Man in Great

• Anti-Gravity Point on a coastal road near Salalah in Oman
• A gravity hill on coastal road N247 west of Lisbon,
Portugal
All visitors on such coastal gravity hills can see horizontal line in nearby ocean as a reference. These coastal gravity hills are second set of evidence against illusion theory.

Detection of Abnormal Gravity at Mystery Spot in Michigan by Three Surveyors
• In early 1950s’, three surveyors discovered the
Mystery Spot at St. Ignace, Michigan, USA
• They stumbled across an area of land where their surveying equipment didn’t seem to work properly
• No matter how many times they tried to level their tripod, through the use of a plum-bob or bubble level, the plum-bob would always be drawn far to the east, even as the bubble level was reading level.
• The gravity in that particular area is so abnormal that their land survey instrument could not function properly.
Gravity Hills
28
Detected Abnormal Gravity
Against Illusion Theory
• Detection of abnormal gravity by land survey instrument at Mystery Spot in Michigan indicates that abnormal gravity phenomenon on gravity hills may be caused by such detectable abnormal gravity
• Such detected abnormal gravity is the third evidence against Illusion theory which asserts that gravity is normal at these special locations.

Theory of General Relativity and
Gravitational Time Dilation
• Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity predicts that the closer the clock is to the source of strong gravitation, the more slowly time passes. This is known as Gravitational Time Dilation
• This gravitational time dilation has been verified and demonstrated experimentally many times

Detection of Gravitational Time Dilation in Oregon Vortex and Other Mystery Spots
• In 1996 to 2002 time frame, several researchers conducted Gravitational Time Dilation experiments and measurements in Oregon Vortex in Oregon,
Confusion Hill at Piercy in northern California,
Magnetic Hill in Penngrove, California and Mystery
Spot in Santa Cruz, California.
• Results of these measurements indicate significant gravitational time dilation in these mystery spots in that time in these Mystery Spots run about a quarter of a second a day slower inside than outside.
Gravity Hills
31
Detection of Abnormal Gravity by
Gravitational Time Dilation
• The measured significant gravitational time dilations in these mystery spots mean the existence of strong abnormal gravity in these mystery spots according to
Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity.
• Such detected strong abnormal gravity means that the observed gravity mysteries in these mystery spots are most likely due to strong abnormal gravity and are not due to illusion in human perception.

Asymmetric Pendulum as Fifth Evidence against Illusion Theory
• Some researchers have done pendulum experiments in Oregon
Vortex in Oregon, USA
• The behavior of the pendulum in Oregon Vortex is asymmetric in that the required forces to push the pendulum away from its equilibrium position in two opposite directions are not equal and are different by 20%
• Such asymmetric behavior of the pendulum is caused by the abnormal gravity with a significant horizontal component in such special area
• The significant abnormal gravity detected by the asymmetric pendulum is another evidence against the Illusion Theory.
Gravity Hills
33
Sixth Evidence against
Illusion Theory
• Some researchers have done measurements of the strength of gravity in Oregon Vortex
• The measured strength of gravity in the Mystery
House in Oregon Vortex is 10 % less than that of normal gravity outside of Oregon Vortex
• Such measured significant abnormal gravity is the six evidence against Illusion Theory which asserts that gravity is normal in these special locations.
Gravity Hills
34
Six Sets of Evidences
Challenging the Traditional Illusion Theory
• I do not believe in Illusion theory for gravity hills and Mystery Spots because of these six sets of evidences
• These six sets of evidences are challenging the validity of the traditional thinking of Illusion
Theory for gravity hills and Mystery Spots.
Gravity Hills
35
• Many YouTube video sites show many gravity hills at many locations all over the world
• Many long lists of gravity hills are reported on several
Internet websites
• As more roads are paved in developing countries, more gravity hills are being discovered.
• More potential gravity hills are still unknown because there is no paved road in wilderness, deserts, farm fields, golf courses, ocean, etc.
Gravity Hills

What Causes the Strange Phenomena on These Gravity Hills and Mystery Spots?
• The six sets of evidences convinced me that the strange phenomena on these gravity hills and Mystery Spots are not due to illusion in human perception.
• Then two important questions are:
– What is causing such strange gravity phenomena?
– What is the source for such abnormal gravity that has significant horizontal component that is strong enough to pull vehicles, water bottles, water, basket balls etc. to roll up the slope of these gravity hills?
Gravity Hills
37
Important Questions Leading into
Important New Theory
• The two important questions on last chart and my 21year research on this project stimulated me to develop the following Dark Matter Theory and a
Model for Gravity Hills and Mystery Spots.
Gravity Hills
38
Dark Matter Theory for Gravity Hills and Mystery Spots - 1
• The source of abnormal gravity at a gravity hill (or a mystery spot), is a very compact nugget of dark matters with extreme high mass density that is at least 1,000 times greater than that of average ordinary matter on earth surface.
• However, the compact nugget is not a solid rigid nugget, but consists of many loose sand particles of dark matter.
Gravity Hills
39
Dark Matter Theory for Gravity Hills and Mystery Spots - 2
• The compact nugget of dark matter is supported by two streams of loose sand particles of dark matter
• One stream is being sucked from the location of gravity hill (or mystery spot) into earth center by earth gravity, then over-shoots and keeps going into the conjugate point on opposite side of earth surface
• Another stream is also being sucked from the conjugate point into earth center by earth gravity, then over-shoots and keeps going back to the original gravity hill o r mystery spot.
Gravity Hills
40
Dark Matter Theory for Gravity Hills and Mystery Spots - 3
• In other words, these loose sand particles of dark matter are trapped in the gravity well (gravity field) of the earth and are oscillating between the gravity hill (or the mystery spot) and its conjugate point on the opposite side of earth surface.
Gravity Hills
41
Dark Matter Theory for Gravity Hills and Mystery Spots - 4
• The details of the logic and the supporting information leading into such dark matter theory and the associated Model are described in my web page at:
• The dark matter's gravity anchor in the earth's gravity well is also described in this web page
Gravity Hills
42
Dark Matter Theory for Gravity Hills and Mystery Spots - 5
• This Model can explain all the observed strange gravity phenomena and mysteries in the known mystery spots and hundreds of gravity hills all over the world.
• Some possible methods to test the validity of this
Model are also described in the web page above.
