PHOTO-MOSAIC
~a large-scale detailed image made up
of many photographs/an arrangement
of aerial photographs forming a
composite picture
There are two types of Photo Mosaics
This Photo-Mosaic was created by
Robert Silvers by taking an image,
organizing it into thousands of small
rectangles and replacing each
rectangle with a photograph that has
similar color and value qualities.
This Photo-Mosaic is also considered to be
Photographic Collage. It was created by
David Hockney by taking many photographs
and attaching them to create one whole
image. Each of the photographs is of a
small portion of the subject, attached they
will create the entire subject.
