Do You Know Where You’re Headed?
You
You NEED Goals
Need A
GOAL
Create A
Personal Mission
Statement
SMART GOALS
Specific
Measurable
Achievable
Realistic
Time Bound
Your goal should
be a specific
ACTION
• It should not be a vague intention to achieve
something. Like
– I am going to do better sales.
– I am going to work smarter.
• It should answer WHAT are you going to do.
– I am going to increase my FPI
– I am going to automate my Customer Data for
better servicing
Your goal should
be objectively
measureable
• If you can’t measure it, you can’t manage it.
– Increase FPI by how much?
– Automate how much of your customer data
• If you can measure your goal’s progress, you will be
able to see the change and that will keep you
motivated.
– I am going to increase my FPI by 30%
– I am going to automate data all past data of 10
customers
Your goals should
be challenging
but Achievable
• Goals that are too far out of reach will not motivate you
– 10 Times higher FPI than last year to become no 1 agent of the
zone.
– Automate all customer data through a software, website and
mobile to become the best service provider in town.
• However goal should be slightly stretched for better
performance.
– 50% more FPI than last year
– Launch a website and automate atleast half of customer data
Your goal should be
do-able. Something
for which you have
experience &
Resource
• If you aim for the moon and you might get
nothing.
– Create a website which will attract new leads that
will increase my FPI by 50% over last year.
• You should set the bar high enough for a
satisfying performance
– Create a website which will start generating leads
and add 5% to my total FPI.
Your goals should be
time bound to be
achieved within a
specific time period
• Without a time limit their would be no urgency
to take action
– Create a website which will start generating leads
and add 5% to my total FPI
• Commitment to deadlines ensures that the
work gets started.
– Create a website within a month which will start
generating leads and add 5% to my total FPI this
year.
Goals are just an intention,
if they are not backed by a plan.
• Consider the obstacles
• Identify the resources needed
• Make a written plan
• Review your plan periodically
• Be flexible to change it
If you know the formula,
the size of the numbers does not matter.
