An endangered species

Assalamualaikum my name is Zaid Ansari. I
would like to apply for the Junior Journalist
job for the National Geographic. I am doing
my research on the endangered Polar Bear.
The things I will cover in my application are:
the animals habitat, the country/continent
this animal is located in, some interesting
facts about the animal, what caused it to be
endangered, and lastly what people can do to
save this animal from becoming extinct.
The polar bear spends many months of the
year
near the sea. It prefers to live at the annual sea
ice covering over the interisland archipelagos and
over the continental shift. Polar Bears are mostly
found around the polar ice pack. The Polar Bear
has a habitat where sea ice meets the water.
Seals migrate as weather changes in the year.
Polar Bears have to follow their prey in order to
survive. If a polar bear travels south using the
ice as its route and it doesn’t go back before
summer, then the ice melts an the polar bear is
stuck in the area until the next freeze up. This
happens in places like the Hudson bay and James
bay.
The Polar Bear is located in the arctic circle
consisting of seven countries. The seven
countries are: Canada, U.S.A., Russia,
Greenland, Norway, Finland, Sweden. The
Polar Bear comes as south down as
Newfoundland
Some interesting facts about Polar Bears are:

Polar Bears can stay warm in extreme harsh weather thanks to their
insulating fat layer and their two layers of fur.
Polar bears have problems with overheating rather than staying
warm
Polar Bear are the closest relatives to Brown Bears
If an adult male Polar Bear stands on its hind legs it could be ten
feet tall
Male adult polar bears usually weigh around 775 to 1 200 pounds
Female adult Polar Bears usually weigh around 330 to 650 pounds
There are about 25 000 Polar Bears world wide
Polar Bears have been around for 600 000 years
Polar Bears in the wild live from 15 to 18 years, but in captivity they
can li9ve up to 30 years
Polar Bears need cold to survive. Polar bears live on
ice and ice bergs. Humans have polluted the earth to
an extent that we started global warming. Global
warming causes rapid shifts in weather from very hot
to very cold. This effects Polar Bears because the
north turns warm. This causes the Polar Bears habitat
to melt and drift (due to the heat global warming
causes) into the water. So the polar Bears have no
where to live and they also become overheated
because they were naturally built to withstand cold
weathers so even a little bit warmer causes them to
overheat. These outcomes of global warming cause
Polar Bears to die in huge amounts endangering them
and it is all our fault.
What people have to do to save this animal is
very simple. All we have to do is make a
difference by not polluting. Polluting is what
causes global warming. Instead of decreasi9ng
global warming we are increasing it more and
more and we are not the only species that is
affected by this. We pollute and give ourselves
luxury while animals such as the Polar Bear do
nothing to harm the environment and yet they
suffer. This is because of us. So all we have to do
is treat the world better and stop polluting
because after all it is our amanah as muslims.
