1.What is the analytical question being asked by the
DBQ?
2.What are the basic differences between Jefferson
and Hamilton- in what areas did they disagree?
3.How many differences do you have to articulate?
4.Rewrite the question using your own words (don’t
forget dates).
Pre Bucketing- determine what the
categories may be.
Bucket 1- area of

Bucketing- Getting Ready to Write
• Look over all the documents and organize
them into your final buckets. Write final
bucket labels under each bucket and place the
letter of the documents in the buckets where
they belong. It is legal to put a document in
more than one bucket. That is called multibucketing, but you need a good reason for it.
Remember, your buckets are going to become
your body paragraphs.
