• In Cambodia, Khmer New Year is the
greatest traditional festival.
• Begins on April 13th or 14th
• It Can be 3 to 4 days long.

The Party Begins!
• The 1st day can be
described as inauguration
of the New Angels.
People will clean and
decorate their houses and
prepare food.
• The 2nd day is where
the family gets
offerings. Also give to
less fortunate, for good
luck.
• The 3rd day is most
important. This is
when the New Year
really begins.
• The third night is
when we all pray
for a better year.
