UTTarKASHI RELIEF PROGRAM Recently occurred floods in Uttarakhand left about 4200 families affected. The event caused massive destruction of housing facilities as well as left many families homeless. Our relief program, which took place a couple of weeks ago was a small attempt by all the people in the company to contribute to some of the people in Uttarkashi. The Relief for Flood Victims in Uttarkashi was conducted in 6 days. The presentation will show how the program was conducted and how it proves as an example to set upcoming projects in a similar way. DAY 1: Leaving Delhi • Leaving Delhi with relief goods at 11:00 AM. • The truck consists of the relief items for the victims in Uttarkashi. Difficulties delayed our program for 2 days Over Turning of a truck Landslides DAY 4: Reaching rishiram School in Uttarkashi DAY 4: Meeting families who had lost their houses DAY 4: Visiting 2 villages (MANERI & DILSAUR) to see how the flood had affected people DAY 4: Visiting 2 villages (MANERI & DILSAUR) to see how the flood had affected people DAY 5: Distributing the relief goods DAY 5: Distributing the relief goods • The list of people to whom the food had to be given to was already made and given to our people. • This made the process of distribution much easier. • About 90 families from villages nearby and people displaced were distributed relief goods. • The goods included clothes, tirpals, torches etc. DAY 5: Distributing the relief goods DAY 6: Village Didsari to Distribute goods and medicines. UTTarKASHI RELIEF PROGRAM The presentation was a representation of the accomplishment achieved not only by people who went to Uttarkashi and distributed and contributed to the people, it is an achievement for everyone who has contributed to the noble cause. An immense number of people in Uttarkashi still require help and support and through this presentation we would want to spread the message for encouraging more support and help and to applause a program which was so successful
