What is a preposition?
Prepositions show the
position of a noun or
pronoun in time or
space.

Prepositions in time,
show a position in
time:
• During the movie, I
fell asleep.
• Since I fell, my ankle
has been sore.
• I won’t go to the store
until 5:00 pm.
