Strange Objects Story Summary By Max Anderson, Ally Engelhardt and Fergus Johnston Plot Summary • Steven Messenger (16 years old) finds the cannibal pot in the cliffs near the Murchison River (Western Australia) in 14th of April 1986. • The cannibal pot holds a journal and a ring that is on a hand. • The ring has gone missing and no one knows where it is, except Steven Messenger who has stolen the ring. • There is a search for the meaning behind the ring. • Strange things start to happen to Steven Messenger and they cause some repercussions. Main Events • Steven Messenger (16 years old) finds the cannibal pot in the cliffs near the Murchison River (Western Australia) in 14th of April 1986. In the Pot he finds a journal and a hand. • Sgt Norman realises that the ring is missing from the hand found in the cannibal pot. He suspects Steven Messenger has it. • Steven Messenger finds the ring in his sleeping bag. • The journal has been identified as being owned by a Dutch Soldier and survivor of the Batavia Vessel. • Steven Messenger has been having strange dreams after being in possession of the ring. He keeps on having these dreams about a girl called Ela, which he doesn't know. In his dreams, the ring is some sort of space craft that lets him move through space and time. On their makeshift raft, there is also a woman with her baby (dead), a young boy and herself. • The journal has been translated from old Dutch into english. The name of the author is Wouter Loos, and the journal explains his trials through western Australia while trying to get a ship back to his home land. They meet ela, and Jan suduces her. • Steven messenger is lead to some old rock paintings which are drawn by europeans. There is one that has a "Ring in the Sky".
