We use adjectives to describe the noun.
Adjectives add information about the noun.
For example:
The bag is beautiful.
Shrek is green.
Sometimes we want to compare between
people, or between animals or any other objects
(cars, shoes ,buildings etc.) and then we also
use the adjectives.
For example: The tallest man in the world.

When we compare between two people/things
that are the same :
Dana is as tall as Ronit.
The spider is as
big as a plate.
The rule:
The noun+
as +adjective+ as + the other noun.
The baby boy is as cute as his baby sister.

2. When we compare between two nouns that are
not the same, one is more than the other- we use
comparative adjectives.
Tom is bigger than Jerry.
Spelling rules

When the adjective has one syllable we add to it
the ending er tall  taller
2.
When the adjective has one syllable and it ends
in consonant- vowel- consonant (CVC) we double
the last consonant when adding er:
big  bigger
3. When the adjective has two syllables or more we
add the word more before it.
The butterfly is more beautiful than the fly.
4. When the adjective ends with ly or y we omit the y
and add ier: busy  busier lovely  lovelier.
5. When the adjective ends with e we just add r.
large  larger.
3. When we compare between more than two people or things
we use superlative adjectives.
The rule:
The noun + the verb+ adjective +est + rest of the sentence.
He Pingping is the shortest man in the world.
