Geographically located within 2 hours drive of Washington, D.C., Charlottesville, Williamsburg, and Virginia Beach. Set on the fall line of the James River and the intersections of Interstates 95 and 64. Climate includes 4 distinct seasons. Originally established in 1838 as the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals, it transitioned into the current VCUHS in 2000.
