The Chinese University of Hong Kong Library
Our History:
1956: Library established
1972: Named after its donor, as the Wu Chung Library
1972: Moved into the United College campus
2001: Re-established as the United College Wu Chung
Multimedia Library
Our Aims:
House the primary collection of materials in non-print formats
Facilitate teaching preparation, class presentation and research
Facilitate the integration of educational media and technology
into the learning and research process for members of the

Borrowing Multimedia Materials
Inform us if there is:
The Chinese University of Hong Kong Library
 Scratches on the disc
 Disc ring damaged
 Missing disc
Take good care of the library materials by:






Handle discs by the outer edge or the center hole
Keep dirt or other foreign matter from the disc
Return discs to storage cases immediately after use
Do not bend the disc
Do not expose discs to extreme heat or high humidity
Do not write or mark in the data area of the disc
Please return multimedia materials to any Circulation
counters but NOT book drop.

Copying / Printing
The Chinese University of Hong Kong Library
●Don't interpret the provision of photocopying machines and printers in the CUHK Library
as the University in any way 'authorizing' infringement of copyright by you and your
colleagues.
●Use copyright work in a "fair" manner only for your research or private study, for
criticism, review or news reporting, and for giving or receiving instruction in a specified
course of study provided by the University.
●Don't copy an entire books– even if you do the copying in stages over a period of time.
Non-print (Audiovisual) Materials
The CUHK Library purchases legal copies of audiovisual items for use within its premises by
students or registered library users and for loan to the staff of the University for viewing on
campus.
● Don't broadcast such material, or show it on any kind of fee-paying basis.
● Don't use such material outside the campus. Use the material on campus.
