The average standards are:
Chinese:
-TOCEL: Level 4; HSK: Level 4; Chinese learning
hours: 480 hours
English:
-ITP 500, IBT 61; IELTS 5.0; TOEIC: 670, or relevant

Chinese Language Program
Language learning students:
Designed for students who are interested in learning Chinese
4 terms per years (autumn/winter/spring/summer); 3 months a term
6-12 students in each class
9:00 am-12:00 am, Monday to Friday; 15 hours per week
The Certificate of Chinese Course for learning hours are provided
NCHU students (degree-seeking/exchange students):
Designed for NCHU international students
1 term = 1 semester
10-15 students in each class
Mainly offered in the evening, 4 hours per week
The Certificate of Evening Chinese Course for learning hours are
provided
Tuition and Living Cost
Tuition Fees: around USD3,400/ one year
- bachelor: 4 years
- master: 2 years
- doctoral: 4~7 years

Exchange Program
PAX
(Program for Academic Exchange)
Invite exchange students from partner universities to study at
NCHU for one semester or one year
Provide dormitory and tuition waiver (according to the
agreement between two universities)
Participants can take Chinese language courses as well as
subject courses offered by eight colleges at NCHU.
