• Who are in the third year of the following bachelor programmes at BI:

• Business (Sivøk)

• Finance

• Who will enroll in:

• QTEM relies exclusively on existing courses at the Academic Partners

• A QTEM Participant will be considered "specialized" in a QTEM module when he reaches 20 ECTS of courses belonging to that module across 2 QTEM semesters

• In this case, the QTEM module will appear on the final QTEM Certificate modules can evolve over time)

2A. Internships & Master thesis

• The internship (at least 2 months)

– In a top international company from the QTEM Corporate Partners’ network or any international corporation at the QTEM Participant’s initiative (subject to prior approval of the QTEM team)

– Final report to be delivered to QTEM Team

– Timing at the discretion of each QTEM Participant (during or after the 2 years of the master with at least 2 consecutive weeks)

• The Master thesis

– Following the rules of the home institution (BI)

– Supervised by the home institution

4. Internship

• The internship (at least 2 months)

– In a top international company from the QTEM Corporate Partners’ network or any international corporation at the QTEM Participant’s initiative (subject to prior approval of the QTEM team)

4. QTEM access and recruitment process

• This year, BI QTEM Participants are limited to 15

• Students apply for both exchanges and rank schools in order of preference

• Students are ranked based on their GPA, GMAT and an interview

• The five best BI students are guaranteed their first preferences

• The other students compete with students from the other schools and might not get their first preferences

4. QTEM selection criteria

• Bachelor grades (with a special focus on quantitative courses)

• At least B

• Level of English

• Extra-curricular activities

• Motivation

• GMAT

– GMAT score of 650 strongly recommended

– Test taken within the last 3 years

– Deadline: the School must receive your official GMAT sc ore by 1 March

2013

4. GMAT (1/4)

The GMAT test has 4 steps:

1. Schedule a GMAT appointment

– Appointment on the website ( www.mba.com

)

– Price approx. 250 USD

– Make your appointment as early as possible in order to meet the

March 1 deadline

2. Prepare yourself

– GMAT course organised at BI

– Books, internet, …

4. GMAT course at BI (2/4)

• Six days, intensive course

• January 4,5,6; 11,12,13.

• Free of Charge for pre-selected QTEM candidates

4. GMAT (3/4)

3. Take the test

– Analytical written assessment + integrated reasoning + quantitative section + verbal section

– Duration ≈ 3 hours, 30 min

– Assessment center in Drammen

– Select BI school code (0529) upon completion of the test

4. Improve your score if you want

– Preferred minimum GMAT score is 650

– Test taken within the last 3 years are accepted by QTEM

– You can take the GMAT once every 31 calendar days and no more than five times in a 12-month period
