I. CONDUCT OF FIELD BASED

II. LIVELIHOOD PROGRAM AND
ENTERPRENEURSHIP
The training for forty (40) Eskaya
Women handicraft project started on May 14,
2012 until May 16, 2012. It started with a series
of meeting and final listing of Eskaya Women
recipients.
Coordinated with DTI Bohol Provincial
Office who assisted NCIP with training facilitators
and suppliers of materials for the weaving of
baskets.
Finished products will then be
transported to the buyer by a middle man, will
do the quality control inspection. The product
that passes quality control will then be marketed
in a higher value while the ones rejected by
quality control will be of lesser value.
The middle man will come to the area
every week on a Sunday, to transport their
finished products and at the same time brings
them raw materials.
The Eskaya women beneficiaries are
into the process of weaving – selling products will
somehow uplift their living condition.
III. MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
Eighty Five (85) walk in IP Patients were
assisted/attended and referred to Governor
Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital. All were
issued certification that they are members of the
ICCs/IPs.

IV. REGISTRATION OF LIVE
BIRTHS
Ten (10) Badjaos were assisted/attended
for late registration of live births.
V. LEGAL ASSISTANCE
Legal services extended and provided to IPs in Bohol
in coordination with Atty. Rey Catedrilla Provincial Legal
officer NCIP Cebu.
Four (4) cases: (1) Badjao fishermen involving
Policemen who were accused of Human Rights
Violation and Child Abuse. (2) Petition for
Correction of Entries in the Civil Registry of Virgilia
Beroy Sajul and Conchita B. Sajul, all of whom are
members of the Eskaya Tribe. (3) Civil Case No.
0604 Quieting of Title, Recovery of Possession and
Damages involving Eskaya Tribe member. (4) Legal
assistance to on-going legal case of Saturnino
Añober.
VI. COC APPLICATION
VERIFIED AND SUBMITTED
Fifty Eight (58) applications for issuance of Certificate of
Confirmation verified, validated, numbered and endorsed to
Regional Office. Forty nine (54) Eskaya, Three (3) Badjao and
One (1) Ati. Sixteen (16) applications still pending for further
verification and one (1) COC application verified, validated and
numbered for submission to Regional Office.

COORDINATION AND
LINKAGES
In partnership with DSWD, LGUs, Academe, Bohol
Provincial Office, NGOs, GOs and concerned individual, the
following Programs and Activities were successfully done and
accomplished:
 Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Greening Program
with the Governor’s Office on May 7, 2011. At the end of the
year the 60 hectares within CADC area will be fully planted with
Fruit Trees and Indigenous Trees.
 Coordination with DTI Provincial Office for the Traditional
Handicraft
 Project for Eskaya Women.
 Joint PARCCOM/Provincial CARP Implementing Team (PCIT)
Meeting.
Coordination with DSWD on Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino
Program (4Ps).
 Orientation and briefing with DSWD Personnel of Pantawid
Pamilyang Pilipino Program in Taytay, Duero.
 Consultation and Planning Workshop with NCIP and Partner
agencies of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.
Coordination with religious missionaries headed by Pastor
Jelon Billion.
 Assisted 43 elementary pupil, 4 high school, 3 college
 Provided school supplies, uniform with free lunch (elementary
and high school)
 Free uniform and tuition (college)
Attended Roadshow on REDD+ and PNAS
Conducted Tribal Assembly at Biabas, Guindulman, Bohol
with all the Tribal chieftain of the different IP barangays
Attended the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC –
7) Meeting in behalf of the NCIP Regional Director.
IP DAY CELEBRATION

joined in the 15th year IP Day
Celebration with the theme
IPRA: Gabay sa Kaunlaran “Isaisip,
Ipabatid at Isakatuparan” held every Saturday for the month of
October at Badjao Community in Barangay Totolan, Dauis,
Bohol. The celebration was highlighted by hanging the NCIP 15th
year celebration theme printed in a tarpaulin at the Badjao
Tribal Hall.
Moreover, Mario Cuham,
Tribal Chieftain of the Badjao Tribe,
gave his words of thanks for the
team and also joined in the
celebration. Hence, the IP month
celebration
were
successfully
conducted with the enjoyment of
not only the Badjao Tribe but also
the Eskaya and Ati Tribe, who in turn
have acquainted and learned their
individualities and cultures as
Indigenous Peoples.
The IP month celebration
commemorate and culminated with
different activities headed by the
NCIP – EAP and MBSP grantees
together with the NCIP staff at
Badjao Tribal Hall benefiting Badjao
children. Activities were conducted
every Saturday with lectures on
different topics pertaining health,
sanitation, importance of education,
personal grooming, storytelling and
games coupled with feedings.
