PARENTS AND FERPA
 The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) controls what
information can be released and who it can be released to.
 Students must sign a FERPA waiver to grant access of their records to
their parent/guardian. The form can be downloaded from:

 A student may choose to give their parent/guardian their Banner id and
information to access their records.

dependents of veterans with the application and certification process.

Disability Resources
• Disability Resources provides accommodations and assistance to
students with various documented disabilities in accordance with
Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with
Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990.
• The staff coordinate and ensure accessible classes, use of assistive
technology, audio-taped books (when available), examination
administration in cooperation with the instructor, as well as other
services as deemed necessary.
• Over 450 students at Rowan registered and are receiving disability
resources in the form of Classroom and/or Housing
accommodations.
