Assessment Testing
Must take TEAS 5 before applying; cost ($35)
Only the 1st passing score of 53 or greater accepted
HIGHLY recommend studying for the test
If a passing score is not achieved, there is a required
3 month wait before being re-tested

Time Commitment
• FULL TIME PROGRAM
• 4 days/week (26 hours class/clinical and 40
hours studying/preparing)
• Varying times for theory and clinical
• Students must achieve 75% or higher in
each VN class for progression in program

Must apply to the district at www.scc.losrios.edu
in order to obtain a student ID #
With student ID # the student can access
application through eservices account

Total Possible Points for VN
• All 9 criterion yields possible 105 points
• 60 points needed for random selection pool
• As of 1-2012, if reapplied 2+ times, will
receive extra points until SPR 2017
• Below 60 points not eligible to apply
• Class selected from random selection pool
