Parliamentary English Debate
 It is adopted from Parliament’s regular activity in Western Country
 There are 4 systems of English Debate :
- British Parliamentary
- Asian Parliamentary
- Australian Parliamentary
- World Schools System

 Full proportional statements that determine what a debate shall be about
 In a debate, the affirmative must argue to defend the motion
 Example : This House believe that Iran should stop its nuclear enrichment

 Clear description of boundaries of the motion, limiting what the debate will be about in a focused area of discussion
 Example : This House would legalize Abortion :
Government of Indonesia would make abortion for unwanted pregnancies protected by law

 The distribution of arguments between 1 st speaker and 2 nd speaker
 Be careful not to make a hung case

 A process of tackling the opposing team’s arguments
 It may consist of :
- showing that opposition argument is : illogical, irrelevant and contradictive to one another

 A process explaining what point of view that support/against the motion
 One argument consist of AREL :
A = Assertion
R = Reasoning
E = Evidence
L = Link Back
