Who drives Blue Ocean Management?
• Jan Willem Gommers is Owner of Blue Ocean Management. He brings over 16
years of complete international and local marketing & sales experience in the
pharma & bio-tech industry. Jan Willem has worked in various disease area’s;
Female Healthcare, CNS, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Respiratory,
Rheumatology, Nephrology Oncology & Hematology. Last years Jan Willem
has gained in depth knowledge and working experience in the Dutch Care
market. Piloting new home care infusion concepts. Establishing innovative
home delivery & treatment services and establishing exclusive private elderly
care homes. In addition Jan Willem established for a USA based consultancy
firm their European affiliate and has conducted pan EU Business development
with pharma and bio-tech partners. The latest assignment is to develop the
EU market access tactics & tools and manage the launch readiness for the first
MAB biosimilar in Europe.

Bio – Jan Willem Gommers
Jan Willem Gommers, MSc | Owner, Blue Ocean Management
Jan Willem brings clients 15+ years of international and local experience in
the biopharma industry, established through a variety of roles with
increased responsibility. He has held several management positions with
Amgen, Astrazeneca and Organon. Prior to building the European office of
The Arcas Group, Jan Willem was Business Unit Manager Oncology at
GlaxoSmithKline, successfully establishing GSK Oncology in The
Netherlands. In this role, he was P&L responsible and leading the strategic
development and Market access tactic. Subsequently, Jan Willem founded
Blue Ocean Management, a contracting & project management company
successfully servicing clients for over 5 years!
Jan Willem is multi-lingual and enjoys working in a multi-cultural,
entrepreneurial and customer-focused environment. He holds a MSc in
Economics from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
